We brought you a peek back in Feb, and now this from Terrapin:
With the industry’s focus on new and different, it’s easy to forget the styles that brought beer drinking to the masses. Terrapin’s new Touch of Grisette is an ode to the Grisette, a little-known style that’s coming back in popularity.
This low-alcohol, wheat focused ale was originally brewed for minors to drink after a long day’s work (which really is the best time to drink a beer!) Lactic fermentation gives the beer a slightly tart and spicy finish that deepens the character of the beer.
And because we’re Terrapin, we couldn’t resist a pun in the name. We’ll let you guess the homage in this beer label!
Touch of Grisette is releasing this week at the Terrapin Tasting Room in Athens, and shipping to our distributors soon! Look for the beer on draft and in 16oz 4-packs.
From the Label:
Dry hopped with Azacca for an aromatic rush, this classic Farmhouse style ale as lodes of wheat and spelt for a soft biscuity malt profile. Look for a slightly tart and spicy finish from the lactic fermentation and traditional Saison yeast. Every silver lining has a touch of Grisette.
ABV: 4,2%
IBU: 23
SRM: 2.4
