Second Self Beer Company, the nationally recognized craft brewery based in Atlanta, Georgia, is expanding distribution to South Carolina. Already available in Georgia and Alabama, Second Self beers are now on tap and in cans at bars, restaurants and retail markets in the Charleston, Columbia, Greenville and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina areas.
Founded in 2014 by Jason Santamaria and Chris Doyle, Second Self is located in Atlanta’s Westside neighborhood and known for creating a variety of beer styles – from their popular flagship American Wheat Thai Wheat, brewed with lemongrass and ginger, to their crisp and clean ale A.T.aLe, a homage to the brewery’s hometown. Most recently, the brewery released Havana Night, a guava sour inspired by co-founder Jason Santamaria’s Cuban heritage and crafted to be enjoyed on hot summer nights.
Distribution to South Carolina follows the craft brewery’s second expansion since opening in 2014. Earlier this year, Second Self announced an increase in production capabilities by 20%––adding new tanks to brew larger amounts of year-round favorites as well as beloved seasonals. With this expansion, Second Self has also been able to widen its barrel-aging program and release its first series of wild beers.
