From Port Brewing & Bagby Brewing:
San Marcos, CA, -- Having brewed with Jeff Bagby for over 4 years at Pizza Port Solana Beach winning numerous awards, Tomme Arthur teamed up with Bagby Brewing Co to brew Bags 2 the Future American Stout, just in time for Port Brewing’s 12thAnniversary.
Brewed with Perla Negra, Merris Otter, chocolate malts, and hopped with Citra, Chinook, and Centennial hops, Bags 2 the Future Stout has something for everyone in it. Robust notes of freshly steeped espresso with milk chocolate and finishing with a bite from the Chinook, Cascade and Centennial hops.
Having won numerous awards for dark beers at both the World Beer Cup and Great American Beer Festival, choosing the style of beer to brew for the anniversary collaboration was a no-brainer.
“The goal was to brew something Jeff and I would have brewed back in our days in Solana” said Tomme Arthur, COO, and Co-founder of The Lost Abbey. “An American Stout that had everything you want in stout as far as flavor, but also light enough to enjoy on a sunny day in May.”
Bags 2 the Future will be draft only and will debut at The Lost Abbey’s 12thAnniversary Celebration, Saturday, May 26th.
