The long-awaited Colossus returns in newly redesigned bottles and hand-packaged in individual boxes, perfect for keeping this unique brew in mint condition while aging. Brewed in 2006, 2011, 2014, and now again in 2018, Colossus is known for its staggering ABV. This year's vintage bottle comes in at 20% and was achieved through fermentation alone; no alcohol is introduced at packaging nor is it distilled. Multiple grains are used in conjunction with three different yeast strains to produce a beer that simply defies classification... & most laws of nature. Colossus returns soon in limited, single 12oz boxes.
Tasting Notes:
Colossus is full-bodied with a perceptively sweet flavor profile accented by notes of apple, as well as cinnamon sticks, orange peel, and coriander which are added to the boil. A surprisingly tame alcohol presence on the palate belies this year's vintage brew's staggering 20% ABV. Don't let the small 12oz bottle and it's fancy packaging disarm you. This beer is BIG and we recommend you split it with a friend.
