Against the Grain's New Grant Giving Program

Against the Grain's New Grant Giving ProgramFrom Against The Grain:

Against the Grain is pleased to announce its new grant award program, Looking Up, in connection with its new podcast, On the Upside, hosted by Adam Watson, co-founder and co-owner of Against the Grain Brewery. A PDF of the full press release and grant application are attached.

Looking Up is a reimagining of the current informal grant giving process at Against the Grain. It is structured to give $1K each month to a new community driven project that falls within one of the following focus areas: health, inclusion, environment, and education. Funding is available to both individuals and organizations who want to make a difference in our community, and though we prefer a 501c3, we do not require an EIN to apply. The application is a single page with just four questions and can be found online at the On the Upside Facebook page. Paper copies are also available at Against the Grain Brewery and Smokehouse at 401 East Main Street, Louisville, KY 40202.

Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis and we will begin accepting applications on May 1, 2018. Grantees will be announced on a quarterly schedule. Looking Up grantees will be required to join us on the podcast, On the Upside, to talk about their project.

Submit applications to: ontheupsidepod@gmail.com or drop them off at the Smokehouse. Please reach out if you have any questions!
