Good news from Surly:
You heard correctly: Rising North Pale Ale is back. A Surly take on a classic style, Rising North is easy-drinking, delicious, and returning for its second season this week.
The official beer of Minnesota United will be joined by the Official Minnesota United Pre-Match Party, held at our brewery before MNUFC home matches. Over the course of the inaugural season, these get-togethers became *the* place for United fans to gather in our Beer Garden and Beer Hall and celebrate the return of professional soccer to Minnesota.
We kick off the 2018 season on Saturday, March 17, before United’s home opener versus Chicago. Jake Rudh’s Transmission, our official music partner for this year, will provide the soundtrack. We’ll provide food, games, a march to the stadium, and plenty of Rising North. It all kicks off at 10 AM on St. Patrick’s Day. (If you want green beer, bring your own food coloring. We won't stop you, but we might look at you funny.)

Surly Featured Artist 2018: Draw for Us.
Can you draw a turtle, pirate or beer-drinking mythological monster? Wanna stick it to everyone who said your art was a waste of time? We're looking for this year's Surly Featured Artist. We're continuing our annual tradition of picking one artist to create label art for our 2018 projects. The art will be featured on bottles, posters, shirts, and probably your parents' annual holiday card.
We're looking for unique work that integrates your own creative style with the Surly brand, like the art created by our previous artists: Brandon Holt, Erica Williams, Josh "Jawsh" Lemke, Brent Schoonover, Michael Berglund, Aesthetic Apparatus, DWITT, Nic Skrade, Adam Martin, Adam Turman, and Adam Sward.
To be clear, this isn't a pat-on-the-back and free beer sort-of-a-job. This is a full-fledged paid gig. So, with that, we're expecting the chosen artist to work through concepts and designs with the crew at Surly and deliver on a specific timeline. The art can be in any format - we'll take care of the production details.
Interested? Read on. Submission deadline is Friday, March 16th.
