Rogue Public House San Francisco Burns

Rogue Public House San Francisco BurnsFrom Rogue:

It’s our sad duty to report that on Saturday night, a four-alarm fire ripped through an entire block in San Francisco’s North Beach neighborhood, including 673 Union Street, where Rogue San Francisco Public House stands.

Luckily, no one was harmed. The 120+ brave men and women of the San Francisco Fire Department who risked their lives putting out the flames this weekend deserve a huge thanks for their hard work. We are also grateful to the San Francisco Police Department for standing guard outside of the building since we didn’t exactly have time to lock up.

We’re also extremely proud of our staff, including Manager Peter Finch, who stepped up and evacuated everyone in the busy pub quickly and safely.

It’s our staff that we’re considering first as we work to determine what’s next for our southernmost outpost. We are keeping all of our San Francisco Rogues on the payroll and fully compensated while we embark on the arduous process of figuring out our next steps.

So what is next for the Rogue San Francisco Public House? That’s a question we still have to answer. The building remains off-limits to us as the San Francisco Fire Department continues their review of the incident and, as a result, we have been unable to enter the pub in order to fully assess the damage. But it appears fairly clear that there is extensive damage to our pub and there are significant issues with the building, not the least of which is the fact that the building’s roof is gone.

For 15 years, we’ve welcomed friends, neighbors, visitors, regulars, Rogue Nation members, beer lovers and anyone who just stumbled upon the Rogue Public House on Union & Powell Street. If and when we reopen our doors to San Francisco, those guests will be the first to know. Please stay tuned for future updates.

Dare Risk Dream,
Brett Joyce & the entire Rogue family
