Hill Farmstead Releasing Flora Pear & Norma-Elderberry 3/7

Hill Farmstead Releasing Flora Pear & Norma-Elderberry 3/7From Hill Farmstead:

As the muddy ruts grow, and the snow melts away, it's seems a fine time to brighten the world with some special releases. On Wednesday, March 7, we will debut two new beers, as well as two fresh runs of cans!

  • Flora Pear
Flora is the wine barrel-aged version of Florence (1915-1967), our grandfather's sister as well as the name of our Farmstead® wheat ale. We selected several barrels of Flora and aged it atop organic pears, including a selection of dessert pears (Stacey, Summercrisp, Luscious and Nova) as well as Siberian pears—all from Elmore Roots Nursery in nearby Elmore, Vt. Soft, subtle fruit notes and a delicate golden hue marry with Flora's singular elegance to embody and exemplify the elements from which it was crafted.

Please visit our bottle release page, http://hillfarmstead.com/bottle-release, for bottle limits and pricing information (credit card and matching ID required for this bottle).

  • Norma—Elderberry
In Shaun's words: "Norma (1939 - 2011) was my maternal Grandmother, my Guardian Angel, and the woman that nourished the laughter and innocence of my youth. In her honor, we chose a single barrel of "Norma" and conditioned it on elderberries from our next door neighbors at Thornhill Farm. We realize the influence of those closest to us only after having left their presence. At Hill Farmstead, our spirit is forever defined by Norma and the memory of our loved ones."

Please note: Norma—Elderberry will only be available for enjoyment onsite in our tasting room, not for take away.

We will also have two new fresh cans: Legitimacy (IPA) and Mary (German-style Pilsner) available!
