101 North Brewing Releasing 3-Beer Homage To Clint Eastwood

101 North Brewing Releasing 3-Beer Homage To Clint Eastwood

From 101 North Brewing:

PETALUMA, CA  - [JANUARY 23, 2018] - 101 North Brewing Company has announced the upcoming release of
Two Hops For Sister Sara, the first of three beers celebrating their immense respect for legendary actor and director
Clint Eastwood.

Brewed just in time for SF Beer Week 2018, 101 North will be hosting a special 22oz bottle release at their Tap Room in
Petaluma on Sunday, February 11th, as well as a beer pairing the following evening with the inspirational 1970 movie,
Two Mules for Sister Sara, at the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema in San Francisco.

Two Hops For Sister Sara (ABV 8% IBU 65), a Double IPA brewed with Mosaic and Citra Hops, will be followed over the
next few months by Dirty Hoppy, a North Beach-style Hazy IPA, & Escape From Alecatraz, a California Common.
There’s rumor around the whirlpool there may be a 4th appreciation as well.

Having already established a reputation for their provocative branding style (I.e. Heroine IPA, Naughty Aud Imperial Stout,
Stigmata Red Rye, etc.), the brewery decided to up their theme game with the Eastwood-tribute.

“What can we say? We dig his work.” said Brewmaster Joel Johnson. “And after recently implementing our Catch ∓ Release IPA Series, we thought ‘Hey, what if we based a special, small-batch parody on one of our favorite cult figures?’ Clint was a ridiculously easy decision for us. Narrowing down the vast iconic movie choices was a longer endeavor.  As for Sister Sara, we dug the innuendos and sexual tension within the flick, and even though this is a romantic comedy posing as a Hollywood Western, he’s still as tough as the no-named hero in the earlier Sergio Leone films. The Ennio Morricone soundtrack was icing on the cake. Obviously the corresponding label artwork needed to be worthy, and our friend Xander came through huge for us.”

Typical for 101 North, the label artwork was courtesy of a chosen local artist. In this case San Francisco-based
Xander Kent was tasked with all three of the designs, and the brewery couldn’t be happier with the results. Further,
various brief dialogues from the films will be highlighted on different bottle labels, which will almost certainly send the rare
beer-chasing ‘beer geeks’ into an unfiltered frenzy. Adding to the hoopla, posters of the label art will be distributed for free
to the lucky ones who purchase the bombers straight from the 101 North Tap Room.

Starting Sunday February 11 th at noon, the bottles, draft, and posters will be available while supplies last at the
101 North Brewery and Tap Room, located at 1304 Scott Street in Petaluma. Select bottle shops around the region shall
carry limited amounts the following week.

The draft beer and movie showcase will take place at 6pm, Monday, February 12-th , at the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema,
located at 2550 Mission Street in San Francisco.  Seating is limited.
