San Francisco, CA : For the 10th year, visitors from around the world will join locals from the greater Bay Area to celebrate SF Beer Week—10 days of beer tastings, dinners, festivals, tours and educational events exploring beer culture in the region where the craft beer renaissance was born—from Friday, Feb. 9, through Sunday, Feb. 18, 2018. This multi-county extravaganza is one of the longest-running regional craft beer events of its kind.
The week kicks off with the SF Beer Week Opening Gala, a destination festival set for Friday, Feb. 9, at Pier 35 in San Francisco. The Opening Gala, the region’s largest beer tasting event of the season, brings the beer community together. Local brewing legends – as well as new talent shaking up the scene this year – mingle with beer lovers sampling brews on the SF Bay waterfront. Rare beers, multi-brewery collaborations and near-legendary seasonal favorites provide tasty motivations to attend. Tickets are available at sfbeerweek.org.
The SF Beer Week website already offers scores of enticing craft beer events. The calendar will continue to blossom, adding hundreds of beer-centric listings until the February extravaganza commences. The variety of the events is fascinating.

“Throughout the years, SF Beer Week has built social connections, empowered the community economically, challenged the creativity of brewers and chefs, and heightened our respect for the quality craft beer being produced right in our backyard,”says Joanne Marino, Executive Director of the San Francisco Brewers Guild, the regional group that puts on SF Beer Week. “But most important are all the great experiences to be had, sharing these amazing beers.”
All eyes will be on sfbeerweek.org as Beer Week 2018 approaches.
