With each new release in the Heavy Rotation Series, we share a playlist of hand-picked tracks including some of our favorite new jams and some other deep cuts we’re currently jamming out to. This mix charts a history of ska, unifying Jamaican calypso and American jazz influence with R&B and British punk. The playlist features tunes from all three widely recognized waves of ska, with strong rhythm sections and brassy tones to pair perfectly with a smooth pour of 2 Tone.
