From Short’s:
We always know the holidays are approaching when this beer starts getting brewed. For one day the brewhouse smells like a Christmas tree with the aromas of fresh spruce and cranberry. Luckily, Michiganders don’t have to wait any longer because Juicy Tree is back on store shelves!
Juicy Tree (9.5% ABV – 82 IBU) is an experimental India Pale Ale made with blue spruce tips, juniper berries, and cranberries. Big aromatics of piney evergreen and sweet berries tingle the senses. After some slightly tart and tangy flavors up front, a harmonious balance between pleasant fruit sweetness and bitter pine is reached. The finish is laced with a resiny stickiness that flows naturally into a lasting bitterness.
So pick up a six pack of this experimental IPA for your holiday gathering and celebrate with friends and family. Be sure to get one before it’s gone, because this beer is like the holiday season and only around for a limited time.
Coming soon to stores near you!
Good Humans: Good Humans (8.3% ABV – 28 IBU) is a Double Brown Ale made with Carabrown Malt and dry hopped with Simcoe and Golding hops. The brew has sweet malty esters that are met by huge toasted caramel and toffee flavors. The finish is dry with a bouquet of hops. Good Humans was originally created to showcase one of Briess Malting Company’s new malt varieties. Originally planned as a one-off beer, it quickly became a favorite brew.
Howlin’ Chinaski: Howlin’ Chinaski (6.5% ABV – 25 IBU) is a light-bodied, golden straw colored Dortmunder Lager with bready Bohemian lager yeast esters and subtle grassy hop aromas. The overall malt sweetness is quite low with the dominate flavors being that of hearty milled grains. Slight bitter compliments from the German Spalt hops are present, but it’s the remarkable sharp qualities of the simple malt flavors that stand out prior to the overall clean finish.
Peach Tea Mild: Peach Tea Mild (4.2% ABV – 13 IBU) is an English style Mild brewed with Earl Grey tea and peach. Bright, clear and copper colored, Peach Tea Mild pours with a light tan head and abundant aromas of peach, biscuit, tea, and caramel. Medium-bodied and slightly sweet, Peach Tea Mild tastes like washing a peach biscuit sandwich down with a glass of cool iced tea. Peach Tea Mild is easy drinking and finishes fairly dry.
Zangief’s Bearhug: Zangief’s Bearhug (9.5% ABV – 116 IBU) is a pitch black Russian Imperial Stout with a dark brown milk shake lace. Thick and full on the palate, rich cocoa and roasted malt flavors create a bold bitterness that lingers into a warming dry finish.
