From Catawba Brewing:
Zombie Night Headlines Four New Small Batch Beers at Catawba Brewing
NOW POURING:
New to the Small Batch lineup at Catawba is a traditional English Mild, available exclusively in their four tasting rooms. Try this dark session ale on the nitro tap at the brewery’s Asheville South Slope location. The added creaminess complements the sweet chocolate flavor notes and light roasty character of its British malts, yielding a flavorful full-bodied beer at only 4.1% ABV.
HOPPY FRIDAY:
On Friday, October 27, Catawba taps their Friki Tiki Guava IPA (6.5% ABV). This is the fifth in a new monthly series of fruited IPAs. Brewed in 30-barrel batches at their Morganton production brewery, these specialty IPAs will see a draft-only roll-out throughout Catawba’s 5-state distribution area.
Also on Friday comes a new Small Batch Imperial IPA. This West Coast-style DIPA is intensely hopped with Citra and Cascade, yet surprisingly smooth and well balanced, given its 9.3% ABV and 90 IBUs. Brewed with crystal malts and flaked wheat, this beer is bursting with tropical fruit flavors and dank hop resin.
ZOMBIE NIGHT:
Beginning this Saturday, October 28, Catawba rolls out a new incarnation of Zombie Night (6.5% ABV), available at all locations. This barrel-aged version of their flagship White Zombie White Ale spent 12 months in Kentucky bourbon barrels, lending a devilish blend of citrus, vanilla, oak, and bourbon.
Zombie Night will be the featured brew at Halloween-themed parties in Catawba’s tasting rooms, starting with Zombie Apocalypse in Charlotte (Oct 28), Boo & Brew in Morganton (Oct 28), and concluding with Devil’s Night on the South Slope in Asheville (Oct 30). Visit the brewery’s location-specific Facebook pages to learn more about these special events.
