Philly Loves Beer & the Pink Boots Society Team Up for Over The Hop! Ladies Arm Wrestling Benefit

Philly Loves Beer & the Pink Boots Society Team Up for Over The Hop! Ladies Arm Wrestling BenefitFrom the Pink Boots Society:

Philadelphia, PA — This Sunday, October 22, prominent women of Philadelphia’s beverage industry are teaming up in an over-the-top regalia, taking on wrestling personas, and going into battle with Over The Hop! Ladies Arm Wrestling competition benefit at the über-atmospheric Liberty Vintage Mortorcycles in Fishtown from 5-10 pm.

Think G.L.O.W. (Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling) — popular Netflix series takes on arm wrestling with Philadelphia’s ladies of beverage. Expect a theatrical experience complete with trash talking, entrance theme songs, and ringside coaches cheering on their competitor.

"Over the Hop is the ladies answer to our very successful Flannel Animal (a male review and fundraiser), held in February,” said Philly Loves Beer Executive Director Christina Dowd. “Philly Loves Beer celebrates beer education and tourism in and around Philadelphia. We strive to create fun and original events all year round. We're more than just Beer Week — we’re beer all year!”

The event is co-sponsored by award-winning craft beer and cider companies, so attendees can enjoy copious cold beverages while cheering on their favorite competitor.

Admission is $10 for general and $20 for ringside views. Tickets can be purchased in advance here or at the door. All proceeds support the Pink Boots Society and Philly Loves Beer.

Liberty Vintage Motorcycles, a repair shop and vintage motorcycle museum, is located in the heart of Philadelphia’s Fishtown neighborhood, at 2212 Sepviva St.

The Pink Boots Society was created to empower women beer professionals to advance their careers in the industry through education and community building. Philly Loves Beer is a non-profit organization with a mission to promote and support Philadelphia’s tourism, beer education and to produce the annual Philly Beer Week.

“We wanted to come together and do something really fun and over the top, and raise some money for both organizations,” said Erin Wallace / aka Demoness of The Den, bar owner (Devil’s Den and Old Eagle Tavern), President of the Philadelphia Pink Boots and Philly Loves Beer board member.
