More fall beer release news from Hi-Wire Brewing in Asheville, NC:
Asheville, NC - Hi-Wire Brewing announced today the release of three beers scheduled to hit shelves during the month of October. Their releases include some old favorites, including Strongman Coffee Milk Stout and Twice As Nice Doppelbock, as well as a new release from Hi-Wire Brewing’s Sour & Wild Ale program, a Brett Saison with Passion Fruit & Hibiscus.
Strongman Coffee Milk Stout (5.3% ABV), inspired by head brewer Luke Holgate’s café con leche-fueled travels in Key West, has become one of the most anticipated seasonals from Hi-Wire Brewing. A Mexican and Honduran blend of locally roasted coffee from Dynamite Roasting Co. is cold extracted and added post fermentation to this sweet, creamy beer. With huge notes of coffee and latte sweetness, this beer is perfect for brunch. Available in 6-packs and on draft beginning October 13, this beer will see Hi-Wire Brewing’s entire distribution footprint.
Twice As Nice Doppelbock (10% ABV), inspired by a traditional German doppelbock, is a robust dark lager. Despite its full flavor and high alcohol, this beer was lagered for more than 8 weeks to make it light on the palate and incredibly smooth. Expect Vienna and Munich malt to contribute subtle flavors of fig, plum and chocolate to this big, yet easy-drinking beer. Available in 6-packs and on draft beginning October 23, this beer will also see Hi-Wire Brewing’s entire distribution footprint.
Scheduled to be released Saturday, October 7 at 12pm from their South Slope Speciality Sour & Wild Ale facility (197 Hilliard Ave) is a Brett Saison with Passion Fruit & Hibiscus (5.9% ABV). Notes of white grape, dank passion fruit, and funky rose petals are highlighted in this tropical wild ale. With a total fermentation time of 9 months, this beer will be available in 750ml bottles. It will see limited distribution the second week of October and will be on draft in both of Hi-Wire Brewing’s taprooms beginning October 8.
