We brought you the full GABF 2017 results, now this exciting news from Dock St Brewery:
Man full of Trouble Porter
ABV 5.2% 30 IBUs
2017 WINNER - Bronze Medal, Great American Beer Festival®
A liquid nod to the only pre-revolutionary tavern still standing in The City of Brotherly Love. “Man Full of Trouble” was one of Colonial Philadelphia’s first watering holes. This London Style Porter was brewed with “Old-World” in mind. Black and chocolate malts create its deep mahogany appearance and creamy espresso-like flavor. A blend of English East Kent Goldings and Fuggles hops lends a delicate earthy presence.
4-pack $10.50 / Case $59
Dock Street Brewery is expanding!
Our beers are now distributed in Delaware through Bottle and Brews Selection.
We usually run the Free Rare Beer drive as a school supplies initiative, and while we're definitely keeping that going (we just wrapped up a month-long Mighty Writers Fundraiser in September and we have a neighborhood elementary school lined up for November), we figure there's enough love in the City of Brotherly Love to go around.
There are tens of thousands of people in Puerto Rico in dire need of supplies (see the list of recommendations below) following the devastation of Hurricane Maria, and we want to join together with our friends, neighbors, and fellow beer geeks to round up some goods to ship out.
So, we're trading free beer and good vibes in exchange for your donation of supplies. This event will be held at Dock Street Cannery + Tasting Lounge, next door to our brewpub at 50th and Baltimore Ave.
The rare beer will be a double dry hopped and fruited grisette.
For a FULL list of the supplies we're looking for (as recommended by the local Puerto Rican government) head to our website, HERE.
The list include Baby's/Children's supplies, First Aid/Health, Household supplies, Food, and Construction supplies.
All donated items must be non-perishable, not second-hand, nor contain liquids. Open or unsealed donations of food or hygiene supplies will not be accepted.
