Blended from the very happiest barrels, meet Splendid Population.
Splendid Population is our ode to California, whose inhabitant Mark Twain called a "Splendid Population." Twain saw a population people of "magnificent dash and daring and a recklessness," and in that spirit we made this beer-wine hybrid. Blended from barrels of imperial sour blonde ale, muscat grapes, peaches, nectarines and vanilla beans to make a beer that is part wine, part summer fruit harvest, all California. The result is a beer exploding with flavor, personality and aroma, tied to the costal dirt we call home. Pair with celebratory dinners with friends, roast chicken, foraged abalone and peach ice cream.
Releases at @almanacsftaproom next Tuesday and bottle and limited draft everywhere Almanac is sold this month!
