Genesee Adding Pilot Batch Reisky & Spies Bourbon Barrel Old Ale Cans and Coffee House, Simcoe S.M.A.S.H. Bottles

imageToday we get to see a new Pilot Batch series beer coming from Genesee Brew House.  This is Reisky & Spies and it is a Bourbon barrel-aged old ale.  This beer pays tribute to the Reisky & Spies Brewery (1874, Rochester, NY).  This brewery was ultimately renamed as “Genesee” in 1878 when Mathius Kondolf bought the brewery.  This beer uses Northern Brewer and Hallertau hops and it is aged for 9-months in Kentucky Bourbon barrels.  This beer will hit 10.3%-AbV and you’re looking at the 16oz can.  Stay tuned for release info.  We also have Pilot Batch Coffee Stout (5.1%-AbV, 12oz bottles) & Simcoe S.M.A.S.H. single-malt, single-hop pale ale (5.5%-AbV).imageGenesee Pilot Batch Coffee Stout
