From Rahr & Sons:
FORT WORTH, TX , July 25, 2017 Rahr & Sons Brewing Co., one of the largest craft breweries in Texas, has expanded distribution to Kansas and Nebraska. Its craft beers are available in Kansas now and will be available in Nebraska in early August.
Beers to be initially released in both states include Rahr's Blonde Helles Lager; Dadgum IPA; Ugly Pug Schwarzbier; Bucking Bock German-style Spring Bock; Oktoberfest Marzen Lager; and Mr. Wiggles Double Dank IPA. Beers will be available for purchase in cans and on draft at local stores, restaurants and bars. Other beers will be released seasonally throughout the year.
Since opening in the fall of 2004, owners Fritz & Erin Rahrhave exponentially increased Rahr & Sons' brewing capacity from 2,000 barrels a year to more than 20,000 barrels a year. Rahr & Sons started the craft beer movement of North Texasand has gone on to win more than 80 national and international awards.
"Rahr & Sons is proud to be an independent craft brewery focused on making great beer," said Fritz Rahr. "We are excited to break into these new markets & get to know the many craft beer fans in Kansas and Nebraska."
Fritz is of German heritage with almost 170 years of brewing tradition in his blood. In addition to Texas, Rahr & Sons is also distributed in Oklahoma.
Philanthropy has been an important element in Rahr & Sons' business since it started. The craft brewery provides fundraising & exposure opportunities for nonprofit organizations at its bi-weekly tour & tasting events; helps build water wells in developing parts of the world through its partnership with charity: water; and donates a portion of sales of The Fort Worth beer to the USS Fort Worth Support Committee. Rahr & Sons has also raised more than $185,000for numerous nonprofits through special events, like the Oktoberfest 5K.
