Kona Hula Hefeweizen Now Available In CA & NV

Kona Brewing

has brought one of its most popular small batch creations from the Kona Brewery in Kona-Kailua, HI to the mainland. Now available in California and Nevada, the traditional Bavarian-style weissbier is medium- to full-bodied with a pronounced fruitiness (banana/apple) and spicy characteristics (clove/nutmeg). These signature flavors and aromas are strictly a result of the type of yeast used when brewing this beer. Hula Hefeweizen (ABV 5%, IBU 16) represents an opportunity for craft beer lovers to try this small batch, draft-only offering until supplies run out.

Hula Hefeweizen pairs well with many foods and makes an excellent warm weather quencher. It is light enough to work well with poultry and seafood, yet has enough body to stand up to heartier foods like barbeque, sausage and strong cheeses. Be sure to serve Hula Hefeweizen with a nice big frothy head, lemon optional. To find Hula Hefeweizen, visit Kona Brewing Co.’s Beer Finder at www.konabrewingco.com/find-beer
