From Cantillon:
In 2008, Cantillon was the first brewery to use rhubarb. We did it again in 2012 and 2015, always producing small volumes, and only making the resulting beer available at the brewery for tasting.
Our goal was to produce more, but this was impossible because of a lack of beer. Starting this year, thanks to the Lambic coming from our second building, we can finally make this beer on a more regular basis.
The challenge was to find the perfect name for it.
As you know, I dedicated a beer to my mother with the Mamouche, to my father with Lou Pepe and to my older son with the Zwanze 2014.
Rhubarb is my wife Nathalie's favorite Cantillon beer. I did not have to look far and found the beer's name easily: Nath!
Nathalie is a kindergarten teacher. The label was designed by children from her classroom. The idea is to ask the children of her classroom a new drawing every year, so the label will change every year.
This beer is also dedicated to all the teachers around the world - you are doing a beautiful job!
Rhubarb was mixed today with a blend of one and two years old Lambic. Some weeks maceration and bottling in July. Nath will be available for tasting and take away in October if everything is going well.
