From 2SP:
Philadelphia, PA (June 2017) -- 2SP Brewing Company, an award-winning craft brewery in the Philadelphia region, is excited to announce the release of their über-popular 2SPils in cans for the first time ever. The 2SPils, an unfiltered, grassy and zesty Kellerbier, will be available in cans at the 2SP Brewing Company Tasting Room Tuesday, June 13 and in retail locations starting Monday, June 19.
On Tuesday, June 13th, from 7-9:30pm, guests can celebrate the release of the 2SPils by pulling up a seat at the bar at 2SP Brewing Company and watching the Phillies take on the Boston Red Sox while enjoying $3 2SPils cans (not valid for takeout) and pizza from Cocco’s Pizza!
2SP Brewing Company’s Head Brewer, Bob Barrar, affectionately known as “The Medal Machine,” has earned his esteemed reputation in the industry by being the preeminent brewer of the Russian Imperial Stout style (with an impressive 11 medals to show for it) which makes the brewery’s number one and two best-selling beers – the Delco Lager and 2SPils – even more impressive.
The 2SPils, 2SP Brewing Co.’s most popular brew after the famed Delco Lager, has become the fastest moving draft beer for the Delaware County brewery.
“At the start of this journey, If you would have told me that our number one and number two sellers would be a Kellerbier and an American Lager, I probably wouldn’t have believed you’” said Michael Contreras, Director of Sales and Marketing at 2SP Brewing Company. “Here we are, almost 2 years in, and Delco Lager and 2SPils are our top draft sellers!”
Pilsners are rarely unfiltered making the 2SPils can über-unique, as canned, unfiltered pilsners are even harder to come by. At an approachable 5% ABV, this refreshing brew is the perfect summer sipper with earthy, grassy and zesty notes from the fresh Hallertau and spalt hops.
The 2SPils will round out the lineup of 2SP Brewing Company’s core, All-Weather Beers, including the Delco Lager, ASAP IPA, and Bellckracer Double IPA.
“Southeastern Pennsylvania loves their Pilsners and they want them unfiltered,” said Contreras. “I’m hard pressed to think of another unfiltered Pilsner in can or bottle from a craft brewery in the market.”
2SPils cans are available in the bars, restaurants and bottle shops
