Mybeerbuzz .com Highlights Lakewood Brewing Mole Temptress

imageIf you’ve been playing the home version of mybeerbuzz.com, you know that just a few months ago we highlighted Lakewood Raspberry Temptress…and just a few weeks ago we brought you a peek at the latest Temptress on the block….Mole Temptress.

The Seduction Series of beers from Lakewood continues to feature new and unique flavor combinations, and this “Temptress” continues that tradition.  Mole Temptress is an imperial milk stout brewed with lactose sugar, vanilla, chiles, cacao and cinnamon, and if that flavor sounds familiar, then you’ve probably tasted a Mexican traditional Mole sauce.

Mole Temptress pours a deep rich black color with loads of spices and chocolate in the aromas.  The tastes begin with sweet chocolate and vanilla followed by just a bit of heat, thanks in part to the Ancho, Pasilla, Guajillo and Chipotle peppers.  The cacao flavors make for a really nice sweet vs spicy/heat balance overall and I really liked the combination and complexity of flavors.  The body is rich and dense and overall it’s a really interesting and flavorful beer.

Lakewood Mole Temptress slips in at 9.1%-AbV and a hoppier than it tasted 56 IBU.  The beer is packaged in 12oz bottles and available now.  Be sure to sample this beer for yourself…and when you do, be sure to let us know what YOU think.

PS.  Here’s a peek at the next Temptress
