Heavy Seas Planning Netherlands Brewewry Jopen Collaboration

  • Heavy Seas Brewmaster, Christopher Leonard, will be traveling to Haarlem, Netherlands in May to brew a collaboration beer with the brewery, Jopen, which specializes in historically accurate recipes of beers brewed in The Netherlands centuries ago. The beer will only be available in Europe this year, but could potentially start a relationship that will lead to a collaboration beer brewed at Heavy Seas in 2018.
  • June beer release: Blackbeard's Breakfast: Imperial Coffee Porter brewed with local Chesapeake Bay Roasting Company's Dark Sumatra coffee & aged in bourbon barrels
  • July beer release: The Partner Ships Series: collaboration with Cigar City Brewing of Tampa, FL - India Pale Lager
