Cape May Brewing Company Delivers Beer Using Drone Technology

Cape May, NJ -- Cape May Brewing Company, the Jersey Shore’s premier local brewery, is pleased to announce an exciting new initiative. Fully leveraging their location at 1288 Hornet Road in the Cape May Airport, CMBC will begin delivering fresh beer to local residents by drone.

“We’ve been looking for more efficient delivery services for some time,” says co-owner and aviation enthusiast Ryan Krill. “We tried a few different things before landing on drones. We attempted a few different things before our idea for drones really took off.”

Cape May Brewing Company isn’t the first company to attempt delivery by unmanned aerial flight. Both Amazon and 7-Eleven have initiated such programs. However, this is the first brewery to begin direct-to-consumer delivery in such a method.

“We’re really excited to see this program take flight,” says David Lipschitz, president of the South Jersey chapter of the National Association of Unmanned Aerial Aircraft Systems. “At NAUAAS, we’ve been developing a system at the national level to facilitate unmanned aircraft deliveries, but no one had yet been willing to take our plans and put them into practice.

“We couldn’t be happier to see this program being put into place in South Jersey, delivering such a great and worthy product.”

CMBC fans interested in participating in this pilot program can download an app for Android or iOS to their smartphones. From there, they’ll be able to place their order and have it delivered to their doorstep in about thirty minutes.
