This is Coastal Haze from Baxter Brewing in Lewiston, ME and it is an imperial hefeweizen that uses traditional German yeast. This beer uses “generous doses of West Coast hop varieties” and the beer hits 7%-AbV. Look for Coastal Haze to be packaged in 12oz cans.
This update from Baxter:
A weissbier with an American twist, this cloudy beaut brings complex yeast flavors with an extra punch of hoppy aromatics that doesn't dissapoint with a strong 7% ABV while enjoying delicate, subtle flavors. Using traditional German yeast to ferment an uncommon big but smooth wheat beer, then adding generous doses of West Coast hop varieties.
Best part about this beer was teaming up with our friends at Blue Ox Malthouse, just down the road from us in Lisbon!
We brewed this beer with more than 50% of their malt!
