From Wachusett:
WESTMINSTER, MA., Jan. 31, 2017 Wachusett Brewing Company has been producing award-winning craft beers for over 22 years, but it's what they have created lately that has started getting all the attention.
It all started in 2004 when Wachusett introduced Green Monsta IPA, in honor of the famous baseball landmark in the city of Boston. In 2015 Wachusett added their "City of Champions" mixed pack that featured beers honoring all four local pro sports teams. In addition to Green Monsta, there was Larry Triple Double Imperial IPA, Boston Brewin American Pale Ale, and Bella Czech Pils. Bella quickly became the standout.

Can"We were blown away by the response," comments Ned LaFortune, Co-Founder and President of Wachusett. "We are fortunate to brew beer in a region that has both a passionate sports fan base and a level of team success over the last 15 years that is unprecedented. When you combine that with their passion for craft beer, our City of Champions project just connected with New Englanders immediately."
Bella Czech Pils pays tribute to the origination of the Pilsner beer style and its namesake, the ancient city of Plzen (or Pilsen) which is situated in the western half of the Czech Republic. It of course, also pays tribute to one of the greatest coaches in New England's sports history. Available last year in the City of Champions mixed pack only, Bella expanded its availability in 2016 and now can be found in both 6pk and 12pk can packages as well as draught for on-premise accounts.
"Green Monsta stood on its own for almost 10 years and became very popular during that time, Bella has taken things to an even higher level as football games are of course very social occasions with tailgates, at home parties, and of course the local sport pubs, I am so proud that we were able to create something that is embraced and enjoyed by people across New England," LaFortune added.
"If we win this one we may have to come up with another beer in their honor, Patriot Way IPA maybe? We'll just have to wait and see," Lafortune concluded.
