From Ninkasi:
EUGENE, OR —Nov. 4, 2016—Independent craft brewer, Ninkasi Brewing Company, announces Bigfoot Beverages to begin distribution of its bottled beer to grocery and convenience stores in Eugene beginning January 2017. Originally facilitated by Ninkasi’s own Local Distribution team, the brewery’s local distribution arm, the expanded partnership will allow Ninkasi Local Distribution to focus its efforts on maintaining and growing Ninkasi’s draft business at on-premise establishments—restaurants and bars throughout Eugene.
In January 2015, Ninkasi announced its commitment to partnering with like-minded, independent wholesalers in Oregon and Washington. At that time, the brewery transitioned from Western Beverage, owned by Anheuser-Busch InBev (ABI), to Eugene-based, locally-owned Bigfoot Beverages as its wholesale partner covering downstate Oregon.
“Our partnership with Bigfoot has been solid over the years; this is a natural evolution allowing our team to spend more time supporting the market and building on the efficiencies of Bigfoot’s sales and delivery execution,” explains Ninkasi CEO and co-founder, Nikos Ridge. “We'll be retaining all of our Ninkasi Local Distribution staff and using the extra time they gain to support customers, partners and retailers in our territory, while continuing to distribute draft beer in the Eugene market.”
“Our goal is to provide the best portfolio of beverages in the market, in all categories, with an emphasis on satisfying the demands of our local consumer,” says Andy Moore, Bigfoot Beverages co-president. “Ninkasi is the clear leader in Eugene’s craft beer scene; we are proud to represent them and are excited about expanding our partnership.”
Ninkasi beers can be found throughout 14 states and two Canadian provinces. For more information visit www.ninkasibrewing.com.
