From Russian River:
October is coming and we are gearing up for our annual breast cancer fundraiser for the Sutter Pacific Medical Foundation right here in Santa Rosa! "Framboise For A Cure 2016" will be released a few days BEFORE October 1st due to our participation that day in Cantillon's annual Zwanze Day celebration! Due to our very busy schedules right now, we were unable to get this year's batch of Framboise bottled in time for October. But that also means we will have it on draft at the pub longer! And, since 100% of the proceeds of Framboise is for charity, we will sell a limited number of growlers to those who want to share with friends and loved ones who also support this very important cause. More details on "Framboise For A Cure 2016" and Zwanze Day coming soon!
Update 12 Oct 2016 from Russian River:
Dear Loyal Blog Readers,
It’s October and, once again, we are “All Hopped Up For The Cure”! This year’s “Framboise For A Cure” is on tap at the pub now through the end of the month, or at least pretty close. The base beer is Temptation and Sonambic aged with 2 pounds of fresh organic California grown raspberries per gallon! Sadly, we have no bottles this year. There was literally no room in the bottling schedule to squeeze it in. That just means we will have it on tap longer at the pub and offering growlers to go for the first time! Check out our new cute stainless 32 oz. growler at the pub and available online soon. Wild Card Belly Dance is our only performance this month wrapping up our month-long fundraiser with a big party on October 27th!
Our dear friend Timmy Lovold made another gorgeous custom guitar, and this year it is something for all you bass players out there! Luthiers Mercantile donated the hardware and EMG Pickups donated the electronics for this beautiful bass. Check out pictures on our Facebook page, or stop by the pub to see it in person. Raffle tix $10 each/3 for $25. The Bike Peddler donated another adorable pink Electra cruiser which is also on display at the pub!Raffle tix $5 each/5 for $20. Stop by the pub, email info@rrbeer.comor call 707-545-2337, ext.115 to order tix. Need not be present to win, but you will need to pick up the bike or pay for shipping of the guitar. Drawings to be held on October 27th, 2016, during The Wild Card Belly Dance show (all ages welcome)! “All Hopped Up…” t-shirts also for sale at the pub and online this week. 100% of proceeds of EVERYTHING will be donated to the Sutter Pacific Medical Foundation for their breast care and other cancer services!
Have you ever known anyone crazy or dumb enough to build a new brewery and remodel an old house at the same time? Well, now you do! Vinnie and I had been looking for brewery property AND a larger house for us and our 3 kitties for the past couple of years. Two years of in-and-out of deals on land while being outbid on several houses in this ridiculous housing market was an emotional roller coaster. What are the odds we would close escrow on both dreams on the same damn day?! It all collided the morning of June 9th. I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry, but it’s all going to be okay. Just need 5 more hours each day for the next 2 years! We started demo on the house this week, and are in heavy design mode on the brewery. Most of our equipment manufacturers have been selected along with our design and engineering team. Ground-breaking is currently scheduled for Spring 2017. If all goes as planned, we hope to open our beautiful new brewery in Windsor, California, in Fall 2018!
And don't forget to order your Pliny For President and Defenstration shirts and posters in time for the upcoming election! Follow us on Facebook and Instagram @russianriverbrewingofficial for more frequent updates. We are still not on Twitter (although someone did set up a page, I still have no desire to use it) or Snapchat. And it is still just ME sharing silly pictures, Pliny for President propaganda, and the latest happenings at Russian River! Vote #plinyforpresident 2016!
Cheers!
Natalie
