[Press Release]:
CORNING, NY – Imagine using a material as hot as volcanic lava to brew beer.
In 2015, Douglass Schuckers, brewer at The Brewery of Broken Dreams, collaborated with local glass artists at Hands-on Glass Studio in “America's Crystal City” to create the world's first Glass Bier at the 1st annual Hot Glass! Cool Brew!
Talk about the perfect way to blend our rich history as innovators in all things glass and our future as the Go-To Destination for Unique Craft Beverage Experiences in the Finger Lakes.
With live hot glassblowing demonstrations, a chance to blow your own glass ornament, multiple craft beer tastings, and the special live boil of the wort—using gathers of molten glass which emerge from the furnaces between 2100°-2300°—the event will be back for its second year on September 24, 2016 and better than ever.
In addition to the delicious tastings offered by The Brewery of Broken Dreams, the event will also showcase the excellent brews of Pelham McClellan, brewer and owner of Market Street Brewing Company, which has been leading the way for craft beverage enthusiasts with their popular beers and exceptional food for nearly two decades.
Tickets for this one-of-a-kind event are limited to the first 80 people who register. Special V.I.P. tickets are also available and include a glassblowing experience and an exclusive opportunity for a more intimate interaction with the brewers.
*This event is limited to participants age 21 or older.
Hot Glass! Cool Brew! is just one of the many ways the craft brewers, hard cider-makers and distillers in Corning and the Southern Finger Lakes are working together to create unique Craft Your Adventure events and experiences
