From Narragansett:
PROVIDENCE, RI (July 5, 2016) – When Narragansett Beer first got its start over 125 years ago, the town of Narragansett, Rhode Island was the ultimate vacation spot. Vacationers traveled from all over the eastern seaboard to spend their summers on the Town Beach. Today, that beach and countless others along the New England coast still serve as summer’s main attraction, a free and easy spot to relax and enjoy the simple pleasure of a cold beer with good friends.
At 4.7% ABV and 55 IBUs, Narragansett Town Beach IPA is brewed specially for the late summer months when the days are hotter and longer, requiring a bold yet sessionable beer to fuel a proper New England beach day. This brew starts with pale, cara pils and wheat malts, and Pacific Gem, Green Bullet, nugget, and EKG hops to give it a slight fruitiness before it’s dry-hopped with citra hops at the finish to bring the perfect balance of bitterness.
Narragansett Town Beach IPA will be available in six packs of 16-ounce tallboy cans ($8.99-$9.99 SRP) and will be distributed throughout New England, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, Virginia, Portland, Ore. and Nashville and Chattanooga, Tenn. The timing and availability of Town Beach IPA will vary per market and will be available alongside classic Narragansett Lager through mid-October.
