River North Brewery to Reopen Saturday April 2nd

Don’t call it a comeback. Less than six months after exile from its original home - thanks to Denver’s insatiable real estate development - River North Brewery returns with new digs and a quest for vengeance…or just brewing.

On Saturday, April 2nd, the brewery will open its new expanded facility at 6021 Washington Street, Unit A in Denver. At close to 9,000 square feet, the new location is double the size of the original. It includes a new brewhouse, more tanks, and a larger taproom.

At noon on April 2nd, River North will kick off its Grand Reopening Party with both staple and rare beers from throughout its history, food trucks and tours of the new brewery. On Saturday, the brewery will be open from noon to 10pm, and on Sunday, noon to 7pm.

“This represents the culmination of an unbelievable amount of hard work from our team,” Founder and Brewer Matt Hess said. “We can now brew more and better beer than ever before. We’ll have the flexibility to push the boundaries of styles and techniques far beyond our previous endeavors. Not to mention, we’ll be able to host many more friends in our taproom. We’re ready and, quite frankly, we’re damn thirsty.”

The Washington Street facility will grant the brewery much-needed expansion space in both production and retail. The taproom will feature more seating capacity and, as brewing operations increase, sixteen draft lines. The new brewhouse boasts a four-vessel, 15-barrel system capable of brewing 10,000 barrels per year. River North will open with fermentation capacity for 4,000 to 5,000 barrels per year, tripling its previous production.

To coincide with the relaunch, River North will overhaul its packaged lineup to include six- packs of flagships like River North White and FarmHouse in cans, and 375ml bottles of limited-release beers and perennial classics like Hoppenberg, J. Marie, Quandary and Tripel.

In addition, the brewery will release a slew of delicacies from its barrel cellar, including limited releases like Anniversary Ale 4 ¼, Funk the Man #4 and Whiskey Barrel Quandary.

After reopening weekend, the taproom will host weekend hours for the time being, but in the coming months, the hours will expand to include additional days of the week.
