Our new Black IPA is the quintessential two-player co-op; a pistol black hop bomb pirouetting at the toes of the End of Level Guardian. Player 1; an American IPA, leading with a blend of West Coast hops, whilst Player 2 tags in with four different malts and a roasty, chocolate and coffee-laced baseline. Together, they dual-wield as Arcade Nation – a hero gone over to the dark side.
Running the knife-edge between an India Pale Ale and a Stout, this particular style is one we truly love. Black IPA’s are a great showcase for the skill of our brew team, balancing so many complex and twisting flavours in the same moment. The citrus, mango and pine from the hops – three of our all-time favourites – play off against the roasty dryness from the malt bill at each and every turn.
The end result may be the same, but as with the most classic of videogames how you get to that point is entirely up to you. Go for the all-out, full on incendiary blast of hops, or be more circumspect and hide in the recesses of the dark. Either way, Arcade Nation is the perfect beer with which to shrug off the January lethargy and embrace the BrewDog 2016 Seasonals.

With masses of refreshing fruit flavour, the tartness has been lifted and the beer invigorated by a huge dose of grapefruit peel, playing off the Simcoe, Citra and Amarillo hops. This is the penultimate incarnation of Elvis Juice - the final Prototype version before we add the beer to our regular range (as requested by so many of you).
