From Sierra Nevada:
Inspired by rock ‘n’ roll Super Groups, we’re teaming up with 30 talented breweries to make six Super Groups of our own. Together we're creating an all-new, one-time-only mixed pack of beers, and we're already test brewing! Visit SierraNevada.com/BeerCamp to learn more.
“In all seriousness, help yourself to whatever you want.”
Julian Shrago gave us free rein on Beachwood BBQ & Brewing’s 36 tap handles. We hesitated not. A Breaker pale ale here, a Hop Ramen IPA there, a Pablo Escobeer porter infused with coffee—it was morning, after all.
Julian is brewmaster and co-owner of Beachwood, and he was hosting a test brewing session in Long Beach for Beer Camp Across America. From various places around the state, we and four other breweries traveled that day to join him:
- Port Brewing Co./The Lost Abbey
- Bagby Beer Co.
- Societe Brewing Co.
- Smog City Brewing Co.
Collectively we’re the “Southwest Super Group,” and we’re collaborating on one beer. But Sierra Nevada is doing it six times over in different regions of the US. In total, we’re partnering with 30 different breweries to create six new beers for one 12-pack. (Yup, that’s two of each beer.)
