Council Brewing Chalcedon, Barrel Aged Imperial Sour Brown Coming 11/5

From Council Brewing:

We are kicking off beer week a little early this year with the Presale of our next Barrel Aged Bottle Release, Chalcedon on Thursday Nov. 5th, 2015 at 12noon via BrownPaperTickets.com/chalcedon. This is a limited bottle release with a max of 3 bottles per person at $22 per bottle (plus tax & fees). The bottles have finished conditioning and are fully carbonated.

About Chalcedon
This Imperial Sour Brown Ale was fermented with Brettanomyces, Lactobacillus and Pediococcus and aged in oak barrels for 11 months. Upon our first taste, the chocolate notes from the malt were the clear highlight.  This flavor was enhanced by the subtle vanilla notes coming from the oak barrel.  Taking the lead from these developing undertones, we added single origin cocoa nibs from the Dominican Republic, which contributed a distinct red berry flavor.  This 10.7% ABV beer is best when shared after dinner in a wide chalice to allow the beer to warm and layers of flavors to unfurl.

Presale Details
Chalcedon can be purchased starting at 12noon on Thursday, Nov. 5th at
brownpapertickets.com/chalcedon. Please see the BPT page for more details regarding purchase. Pre-purchased bottles can be picked up at the brewery tasting room between 11/10/2015 and 12/11/2015.
