From Boulevard:
For the second year in a row, Boulevard has medaled at the prestigious Brussels Beer Challenge! Tank 7 Farmhouse Ale took the gold medal in Strong Blonde/Golden Ale. Tank 7 won bronze in this category last year. The Calling IPA also won a medal, taking the silver in the Imperial IPA category. This is the first competition and first medal for The Calling.
In its fourth year, the Brussels Beer Challenge took place in Antwerp and gathered 75 international judges to evaluate 1,100 beers from all over the world. From the organizers, “The Brussels Beer Challenge was launched in 2012 to promote the beer industry in a market that is not only a benchmark for beer but also home to connoisseurs. This year the event is backed by the City of Antwerp and Visit Flanders.”
We’re incredibly excited and honored and send congratulations to our sister breweries who also won medals during the 2015 Brussels Beer Challenge:
Brewery Ommegang – Rare Vos – Certificate of Excellence in Bières de Garde ambrée
Brouwerij de Koninck – Wild Jo – Bronze in Saison
Firestone Walker Brewing Company – Sour Opal – Bronze in Lambic & Gueuze
Liefmans – Liefmans Goudenband – Silver in Oud Bruin/Flanders Brown Ale
Maredsous Abbey – Maredsous Blond – Gold in Abbey/Trappist Style Blond
We’d also like to mention fellow Missouri brewer Urban Chestnut Brewing Company. Their Oachkatzlschwoaf was awarded the gold medal in the German-Style Märzen category.
Congratulations!
