Fall is here, and hop harvest is nearly complete which, for brewers, means it’s time to get wet hoppin’ – that’s right, it’s about to get WET, folks.

We took a break from brewing our Wet Hopped West Coast Style IPA in 2014 while we moved into our new brewery, but now we’re up and running and we couldn’t wait to re-release one of our favorite seasonal beers. WET is a balanced IPA, piney and fruity hop flavor with just enough malt sweetness.

Our 2015 edition features 6,000 lbs of Simcoe hops harvested from the Yakima region of Washington. Yep, we’ve gone all out this year and brewed 600 barrels, TEN TIMES as much as we first brewed when we started wet hopping back in 2009. You’re welcome, Surly Nation.

Brewing WET takes a massive amount of teamwork and coordination. Beginning at 6am, WET dominated the production schedule, requiring 10 people to orchestrate the brewing cycle around the clock for four days. Brewing WET is a labor of love and is meant to be enjoyed cold, and enjoyed now, so get on it!

Your first chance to try WET will be at Butcher & The Boar’s Boarfest in Minneapolis on Sunday, October 4 from 12pm-10pm. We’ll have our draft trailer there pouring a ton of other beers too, check out our event page for details. WET will hit shelves in Minnesota starting the week of Monday, October 5 and will be available in our other markets the following week.

We’re also having WET release parties in Chicago (10/18) and Wisconsin (10/5) and we want to see you there so check out our event page for details on both parties.
