Short’s - Maple Bourbon Barrel Magician Coming 9/26

Lots of action here. Lots of sweet slippery action. The power of persuasion is strong in this potion. Look over here, look over here, look over here…..

No really, look over here in Bellaire! We’re releasing the next installment of our Private Stache series, Maple Bourbon Barrel Magician, at the pub this Saturday, September 26th, 2015 during Short’s first ever Oktoberfest Celebration.

This decidedly un-Oktoberfest version of our London Red Ale, The Magician, has been tucked away in bourbon barrels (previously used to age Traverse City Whiskey Company bourbon whiskey and maple syrup from Currey Farms in Charlevoix, MI) for seven months and is now ready to slide into bottles. Described as “Pouring a deep reddish brown color, with a rich nose full of woody and dark liqueur aromas. Maple Bourbon Barrel Magician has very sweet flavors of decadent maple syrup, vanilla, and raisin. This medium bodied ale coats the palate with a sugariness that finishes like a fine port wine.”

An extremely limited number (approximately 400) of 750 mL Maple Bourbon Barrel Magician bottles will be for sale beginning at 11:00 am this Saturday. This beer will only be available at the pub and is likely to disappear very, very quickly. Each customer will be limited to purchasing only three bottles of this coveted brew. Bottles of Maple Bourbon Barrel Magician will cost $19.00.

Short’s Oktoberfest Celebration will feature Oktoberfest beers, food specials, and live music beginning with Kellerville at 6:00 pm followed by the Dirty Bourbon River Show at 9:00 pm. The17th annual Bellaire Harvest Festival will take place throughout the day (10:00 am – 4:00 pm) just steps from the pub doors.
