NYC Brewers Guild Hosts Annual Fundraiser "Blocktoberfest" 9/19

New York, NY -- Thursday, August 27, 2015 -- The New York City Brewers Guild once again takes it to the streets with more than a dozen of NYC's Guild breweries hosting their annual fundraiser to raise money for NYC Beer Week 2016. Occurring at Sanders Studios on Saturday, Sept. 19, 2015, "Blocktoberfest" takes place within the 15,000 square feet studio located at 525 Waverly Avenue in Brooklyn's Fort Greene/Clinton Hill neighborhood. Join the fun as The New York City Brewers Guild brings Oktoberfest to you, New York! General Admission is $10; $18 tickets come with five 4 oz. beer samples, and $30 gets you five 12 oz. craft beers. Tickets to "Blocktoberfest" are now available via Eventbrite.

New to this year's "Blocktoberfest,"
Urban Oyster Tours host the ultimate New York Craft Beverage experience. The Drink NY Tour & Dinner Package($175/ticket) is a rare opportunity to immerse oneself in the local craft libations scene. The expedition begins with exclusive VIP access to "Blocktoberfest" (12 pm - 1 pm; under 30 people will have access to VIP tickets). No lines, no waiting for samples of NYC's finest brews and foods by Brooklyn's top artisanal food purveyors. At 1 pm, VIP guests will be whisked away to visit two local distilleries, including Van Brunt Stillhouse and Kings County Distillery, and also Red Hook Winery. Along the way, the Urban Oyster Tour Guide will educate attendees on local craft beverages (beer, wine, spirits), the history of each, current trends, where to find the best-of-the-best in NYC, and how to appreciate each like an expert. The tour concludes at Threes Brewing for a Happy Hour and Local Craft Beverage Dinner featuring selections of Threes beers and additional Brooklyn spirits and wines.

Come celebrate NYC's booming craft beer movement and enjoy rare brews as well as the latest and greatest new releases from these singular breweries: Big Alice Brewing, Bronx Brewery, Brooklyn Brewery, Finback Brewery, Flagship Brewing Co., Greenpoint Beer & Ale Co., Grimm Artisanal Ales, Gun Hill Brewing Co., Heartland Brewing Co., KelSo Beer Co., Rockaway Brewing Co., Sixpoint Brewery, Transmitter Brewing, and others soon to be announced.
