NEWBURYPORT, MA The Newburyport Brewing Company, Massachusetts' all-can and keg craft brewery, today announces two new 1635 Series small batch Weissbiers -- "Yankee Red" and "Yankee Blue." The 1635 Series showcases all types of beers inspired by the creativity of our brewmaster as well as favorite recipes from our brewery team. Each beer in the series is available in Newburyport Brewing's tasting room as well as select bars and restaurants while supplies last.

Yankee Red is a cherry Weissbier at 5.5% ABV. Ripe, juicy cherries plucked at their peak of freshness give this sweet and slightly tart unfiltered cherry ale unmistakable fresh fruit character and aroma. Brewed with all natural 100% non-GMO cherries with no preservatives, colors or flavors added.

Yankee Blue is a blueberry Weissbier at 5.5% ABV. Just in time for the blueberry harvest, this hazy, slightly sour unfiltered ale features a light natural blueberry sweetness balanced by subtle hop character that finishes clean with moderate carbonation. Brewed with all natural 100% non-GMO highbush blueberries with no preservatives, colors or flavors added.

"We are very excited to release these two new 1635 Series brews. From the very start, our mission has been to brew high quality craft beers using premium natural ingredients," said Chris Webb, Co-founder and CEO. "Both Yankee Red and Yankee Blue tie in nicely with this mission, and are wicked refreshing beers to enjoy during the last of our upcoming New England summer weekends."

Enjoy Yankee Blue paired with mini cannolis, bon bons, and blueberry cheesecake during Boston Restaurant Week August 16 - August 21 at The Biltmore Bar & Grille located at 1205 Chestnut Street in Newton, MA.
