Philadelphia, PA (July 2015) – Barren Hill Tavern & Brewery, Devil’s Den, Old Eagle Tavern and the PHS Pop-Up Garden on South Street all have one thing in common, Erin Wallace. Wallace owns the first three, and operates the latter. Wallace is well known for her in-depth craft and specialty beer knowledge, and her creativity in crafting exciting beer-centric events. This summer, Philadelphia beer-lovers will have a lot to cheer about.
From July 4-26, Wallace is hosting contests pivoting on the Tour de France at all four locations with two exciting chances to win Ommegang craft beer for a year, among other prizes.
Prize 1. Tour de Bars: Chance to win Ommegang for a year.
Craft beer-lovers can celebrate the Tour de France from Philadelphia by making a stop at each of Wallace’s locations. From July 4-26, customers can order an Ommegang beer on tap at any of Wallace’s locations and be entered to win a year’s supply of Ommegang beer (either a growler fill or six pack each week). Each of Wallace’s locations will offer different Ommegang beers during the event.
At each location customers will receive a stamp. When the Tour de Bars stamp card is filled with all four locations, guests will be entered into an additional drawing to win a year’s supply of Ommegang beer. Ommegang specializes in exceptional Belgian-style craft beers and is based in Cooperstown New York.
Throughout the month, Human Zoom will also host bike rides to Barren Hill Tavern, Devil’s Den, and the PHS Pop-Up Garden on South Street in celebration of the Tour de France. Cycling schedules are coming soon. Bike riders will be given discounts during their stops at the bars.
Prize 2. Tour de France: Second chance to win Ommegang for a year.
An additional prize of Ommegang for year will be drawn from entries. To enter, guests can come into any of the bars and order any Ommegang, Duvel, Liefmans or La Chouffe product and fill out a Tour de France card. Only one entry, per person, per day. Must be 21 or over. Cannot work for any business owned by Ommegang, Duvel, Muller Distributor, Devil’s Den, Barren Hill Tavern & Brewery, Old Eagle Tavern, or the PHS Pop Up Beer Garden on South Street.
Runner-up prizes include prize baskets and gift cards provided by Ommegang and Human Zoom Bikes & Boards, a Philadelphia-based cycling and boarding retail store. All winners will be announced at the Ommegang Tour de France Brunch at Devil’s Den on Sunday, July 26.
