Sixpoint Releasing RESIN Homebrew Kit

craftabrew-resin-inFrom Sixpoint:

In April 2013 we met Kyle Westfall at one of our favorite bars in Florida, Tap n Grind. We hit it off, and he let us know he was well on his way to creating his homebrew kit, Craft-A-Brew. Then about a year ago we started getting serious about scaling down a Sixpoint formulation for homebrewers to create at home… and today we’re happy to announce the creation of the RESIN Craft-A-Brew Kit.

We love the Craft-A-Brew concept, especially for homebrewers that are just starting out. It can be frustrating to start from scratch trying to make beer, and end up with a few batches that aren’t as awesome as you want. After all, with all the incredible beer out there, who wants to spend the time to make something without the right equipment and know-how to make it great? That’s what makes Craft-A-Brew so fun. You get a delicious recipe and everything you need to make it, so that your first batch has a good chance to be not just something you’re proud of, but something you really love to drink.

Homebrewers and professionals alike can cheers to that.

And this from Craft A Brew:

Orlando, FL July 22, 2015

Craft A Brew (http://www.craftabrew.com), maker of craft beer home brewing kits, announced the release of their latest Craft Brewer Series collaboration kit, Sixpoint Resin IIPA. This recipe was developed in collaboration with Brooklyn, NY-based Sixpoint Brewery (http://www.sixpoint.com), to bring their popular Resin IIPA to home brewers world-wide.

This newly-released home beer brewing kit from Craft A Brew features the Sixpoint Resin IIPA recipe- an imperial IPA that is described by Sixpoint Brewery as “an ode to the sticky quintessence of hops.” Craft A Brew describes the beer as a piney, resinous double IPA that is perfect for the lover of hoppy, unique beers. At a 9.1% ABV (alcohol by volume), it’s the biggest beer that Craft A Brew has released in a home brew kit.

Craft A Brew’s release of this new collaboration home brewing kit with Sixpoint Brewery is part of its Craft Brewer Series – a series of craft beer brewing kits which feature recipes from some of Craft A Brew’s favorite craft breweries. This series also features a collaboration with 7eventh Sun Brewery (out of Dunedin, FL), the Intergalactic Pale Ale.

This special series of collaboration home brew kits is a natural progression for a company that is rooted in its love of craft beer. Craft A Brew founder Kyle Westfall started the company, he says, when he struggled himself to find a home brewing kit that was affordable yet had quality ingredients and recipes that would yield a quality craft beer that he wanted to drink.

“Our mission is to turn craft beer drinkers into home brewers, and from the beginning, we strived to make a home brewing kit that would yield outstanding craft beer right out of the box,” said Westfall. “When we have the opportunity to collaborate on a recipe with such a well-respected, top notch craft brewery like Sixpoint, it allows us to bring a whole other level of craft beer brewing experience to our customers.”

The relationship with Sixpoint Brewery actually developed from a chance encounter. Westfall and Sixpoint’s founder Shane Welch met in April 2013 at Tap n Grind, an Orlando craft beer bar that features Sixpoint beers on tap. However it wasn’t until the Spring of 2014 that the two companies started to seriously collaborate on the kit.

Sixpoint Brewery writes in their blog release announcing the new Resin IIPA kit, “We love the Craft A Brew concept, especially for homebrewers that are just starting out. It can be frustrating to start from scratch trying to make beer, and end up with a few batches that aren’t as awesome as you want. After all, with all the incredible beer out there, who wants to spend the time to make something without the right equipment and know-how to make it great? That’s what makes Craft A Brew so fun. You get a delicious recipe and everything you need to make it, so that your first batch has a good chance to be not just something you’re proud of, but something you really love to drink.”

The new Craft A Brew Sixpoint Resin IIPA homebrewing kit is now available on http://www.craftabrew.com, along with their entire line of craft beer brewing kits and home brewing supplies.
