Ei8ht Ball Brewery Adding Cans

Ei8ht Ball Brewery's beer is about to get more portable. The Newport brewery will offer its Prodigal American pale ale in cans starting next week.

Six-pack cans ($10.99) of the year-round beer will be available beginning Tuesday (limit two packs per customer), with a launch event set for noon in the Ei8ht Ball tap room. Cans will be for sale there, and they will be released for wider retail distribution on July 27.
