Victory Presents Ep.5 Experimental Hops (Video)

Every year, we are asked to take part in sampling experimental varieties of hops fresh from the Yakima Valley in Washington. Everyone at Victory Brewing Company, from our brewers to our office team, takes part in putting their noses to the test. We take as many notes on these never before smelled or brewed hops and report back to the farmers.

Eventually, some of these new varieties will be able to be used in beers we don't even know about yet. In fact, every year, we use the latest available production hops in Liberty Bell Ringer, our Philly Beer Week specialty. For now though, these hops are just a glimmer in the eyes of the farmers.
