From Surly:
We enjoyed invading Iowa so much we thought we'd keep going...Wisconsin get ready, you're next.
We've made a few trips over the border during the last few years, but we're not visiting this time-we're staying for good. We want the whole Dairy State to Get Surly with us.
We have a lot planned over our months-long invasion, which started this week. We'll be hanging out at different bars and liquor stores around the state to help people get to know us a little better. Surly is about more than just great beer: we'll be working with local artists, getting active around the state, sharing our food with you and getting into the local music scene. The only thing we won't be doing is cheering for the Packers. We have to draw a line somewhere.
Wanna join our invasion? We'll be bringing eight of our beers to Mike's Donuts and Chicken in Kenosha at 6pm tonight, Thursday, June 4 and then we'll party down at the Milwaukee Beer Barons World of Beer Festival on Saturday, June 6. Next week the Invasion rolls on with a bunch of awesome events in Milwaukee, Madison and beyond. Make sure to follow @SurlyBrewingWI on Twitter, or the Surly Wisconsin Events page for all the events and updates.
Also, check out THIS Milwaukee article and THIS Madison article all about Surly's Wisconsin Invasion.
Yo Wisconsin, Come Give A Damn
A big part of our invasion plans include giving a damn about Wisconsin by organizing Surly Gives A Damn (SGAD) community projects. To kick off SGADWI, come get your hands dirty and help theHunger Task Force provide a steady supply of fresh fruits and vegetables to Milwaukee's hungry. We are looking for 30 SGAD volunteers to dig in the dirt on Saturday, June 20th from 12:45pm-4pmat the Hunger Task Force Farm in Franklin, WI. Sign up right HERE. We will let you know if you got a spot or not!
