Duvel announced today that Bobby Dykstra, a 12-year beer industry veteran, will lead sales efforts for its family of craft breweries in the United States, including Boulevard Brewing Company, Brewery Ommegang and imports from Duvel Moortgat’s five European craft breweries. Dykstra has been with the company for three years in various senior sales positions, most recently as Director of Sales – National Accounts. His new appointment is effective immediately.

“This is a particularly important appointment for our company at a key point in our evolution towards becoming the pre-eminent high-end craft brewer in the United States,” said Simon Thorpe, president of Duvel Moortgat USA. “Bobby is the right leader to oversee our continuing strong sales growth as we roll-out national distribution for Boulevard, accelerate the development of our high-end Smokestack, Ommegang and Import beers and build our off-premise capabilities. We are fortunate to have a particularly strong team at Duvel Moortgat and it is important for us to grow and develop our leadership from within the company.”

Prior to joining Boulevard and Duvel Moortgat USA three years ago, Dykstra held a number of senior sales positions with Miller Coors over a nine-year period. He received his MBA and Bachelors of Science in Business from the University of Missouri. An announcement regarding Dykstra’s successor as director of sales for national accounts will be made at a later date.
