May 12, 2015 - STROUDSBURG, Pa. -- The ShawneeCraft Brewing Company, located on the grounds of The Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort, Shawnee on Delaware, Pennsylvania, will be hosting an opening celebration for its new Taproom on Saturday, May 16, 2015 from noon to 10:00 pm to close out American Craft Beer Week. The day-long opening will be highlighted by live music, BBQ Cuisine, and special beer releases.
The Taproom Opening will feature ten taps of ShawneeCraft draft beer, three sour beers on draft (Kriek, Gose, and a mystery sour), the release of ShawneeCraft’s brand new 12oz cans (Apiarius, Biere Blanche, and Session IPA), a firkin tapping, and the 2015 release of Bourbon Barrel Porter. The Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort’s Executive Chef Rodney will be serving up BBQ at noon and a Pig Roast in the evening. The Matt Abel Trio, Brimmer and Tucker, and Tom Graham Music will be performing throughout the day.
The new ShawneeCraft Tap Room is located at the entrance of the ShawneeCraft Brewing Company. The Taproom features a stage for live entertainment, a full bar with ten taps of ShawneeCraft Beer, a lounge and dining area along with a live cooking area for catered events.
The ShawneeCraft Brewing Company is attached to the main building of The Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort. The Shawnee Inn neighbors the 70,000 acre Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area and is perched on the banks of the Wild and Scenic Delaware River. The unique setting has compelled both the Shawnee Inn and The ShawneeCraft Brewing Company to embrace sustainability and the outdoors. The ShawneeCraft Brewing Company provides beers with an extremely high dry organic weight and, whenever possible, locally sourced ingredients.
The Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort has created a Beercation overnight package that is available year-round and features, overnight accommodations Friday and Saturday, live entertainment, two ShawneeCraft beers and dinner at The ShawneeCraft Tap Room, full hot breakfast on both Saturday and Sunday mornings, the choice between a guided Appalachian Trail hike or Shawnee River Trip, and a four course ShawneeCraft Beer Dinner on Saturday night.
The ShawneeCraft Tap Room is open to the public on Wednesday’s and Thursday’s from 4pm – 5pm, Friday’s from 4pm – 10pm, and Saturday’s and Sunday’s from 12pm – 5pm.
