Garden City, Idaho (May 6, 2015) – Payette Brewing Company, a leading craft brewery in Idaho, is proud to announce that they were selected as the Northwest regional finalist for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce annual DREAM BIG Small Business of the Year Award and the Community Excellence Award.

Finalists were selected from Blue Ribbon Small Business Award winners who stood out for their business practices and community involvement. “There are so many amazing companies across the U.S. doing great things for their communities and to be a part of this group is an honor” says Payette Brewing Company owner, Michael Francis.

Payette Brewing Company continually raises the standard of craft beer by the quality of their brews and actively supporting the Boise community through their Payette Forward programs. The Kegs4Kause program continually supports the community by donating 50% of the proceeds each Monday evening to a featured non-profit. “The commitment and dedication Payette Brewing has made to support local charities and nonprofits in the Boise area is unique and absolutely commendable. I look forward to working with Payette Brewing again in the future” said Becki Stephens of WalkMS Team Stephens Steppers Captain.

Sheila Francis, Director of Marketing and Events said, “Mike and I were raised with the idea that you have to ‘pay your civic rent,’ a quote from our grandfather Fred Francis, and do your part to help the community. Everyone on the Payette team has the same mindset. It’s not enough to just pay your taxes and donate here and there. Taking an active role to improve our community is a part of who we are and we are proud of our Payette Forward and Kegs4Kause programs.”

Finalists will be recognized at the 11th Annual America’s Small Business Summit in Washington, DC June 8-10, 2015. One regional finalist will then be named the Small Business of the Year.
