From Heavy Seas:
BALTIMORE, MD --- Heavy Seas Beer is pleased to introduce the third beer in its draft-
only program, the Desert Island Series. This program features “one-off” releases of
beers designed by individual members of the Heavy Seas brewing team. Each beer in
the series will be limited to only 100 barrels available at select locations within Heavy
Seas’ 18 state distribution footprint. This limited release, an American Honey Amber Ale
at 4.9% ABV, will be available in June.
The third offering was conceived and executed by our "greenest" brewing
tandem, Brett Cracco and Courtney Lacey. According to Brewmaster, Christopher
Leonard, “Ambitious, exuberant, expressive, brash, and somewhat capricious, this
American-style Amber Ale is crisp, bold, and dry with plenty of American hops. It is
loaded with flavor but is quaffable enough to enjoy in warmer months - or on a desert
island. Brewed with some (relatively) local Virginia barley and a touch of Bamboo
honey, this energetic tipple will spice up your June.”
Style: American Honey Amber Ale
Malts: Pale, Light Crystal, “DelMarVa”
Hops: Chinook, Saaz, Cascade
ABV: 4.9%
IBU’s: 33
Availability: June
