Two Roads - Road Jam, Hizzoner Maibock & Conntucky Lightnin’ Sour Mash Return

imageFrom Two Roads:

After the harshest winter since, well, last winter, Two Roads is happy to announce that three beers meant for spring and summer are returning to accompany the long awaited warming temperatures.

The first to be released is Road Jam Raspberry Wheat Ale. It’s bursting with 100% real fruit and steeped with lemongrass stalks. This tart, refreshing beer is the perfect summer complement for outdoor fun. For the first time, Two Roads will be releasing Road Jam in six pack cans in addition to bottles. Also look for Road Jam as part of their Beer Bus variety can pack. The beer will be released in the Two Roads tasting room on April 15th.

As for their Hizzoner Maibock, there’s a long standing Bavarian tradition where every spring, the local mayor (or burgermeister) taps the first keg of Maibock in a ceremonial kick off of to Spring. Two Roads is keeping this German tradition alive.

On April 30th at 5:30 p.m., Stratford Mayor John Harkins will take part in the tapping of the first keg of Hizzoner Maibock , a malty and easy to drink spring lager in the Märzen tradition.

Lastly is Conntucky Lightnin’ Sour Mash Bourbon Ale which is part of the Two Roads “Road Less Traveled” 750mL bottle series. Brewmaster Phil Markowski brews this beer using corn grits and ages the beer in bourbon barrels for a sweet and funky beer unlike any other. Two Roads will tap this beer appropriately on Saturday, May 2nd– Kentucky Derby Day.

Look for all three of these delicious brews in the market soon.
